  • Theater In College Hoops (Ep. 170)- Top 10 Movement & Auburn Hiding In Plain Sight

This was a rather somber and sad episode. We had to let go of The Shark. Unfortunately he will no longer be a regular on the program but his heart and soul will always be a cornerstone of TICH... as will his terribly produced Saturday Slate tweets. Once we get the lump out of our throats we press on to talk about the movement in the Top 10 this past weekend, Arizona's huge sweep of LA and how come we aren't talking about Auburn anymore? Is it their schedule? Are we tired of them? We get outta here on Get In My Belly & Good Things!

  • Theater In College Hoops (Ep. 169)- Interview With Riley Davis

Got a great episode today as we welcome to the program Riley Davis from The Field of 68 and Heat Check. We dive into all sorts of topics including how he broke into the media space, the ACC, Iowa State, the Big 12 and the alleged John Wall/Tyler Hansbrough beef. We also talk about Mike Brey's upcoming retirement and recap a big Wednesday slate. We end it with a look ahead to the weekend!

  • Theater In College Hoops (Ep. 168)- A Wide Open Field & Sean Miller’s Resurrection

Big episode as we dive into the age old question: who the hell is actually any good? Or should we be asking if all teams stink? Or maybe we need to ponder if there's no elite teams? Regardless, we're not going to say who the best team is on a week to week basis because this season has been unpredictable. We then talk about Sean Miller and the wonderful job he's done at Xavier. Did you think they'd be atop the Big East right now? We also recap Purdue visiting MSU and touch briefly on the Darius Miles situation in Tuscaloosa. We get on outta here with Get In My Belly & Good Things.

  • Theater In College Hoops (Ep. 167)- Kansas State, Providence & Chris Beard
Still not whole this new year as we missed Taylor but the Shark lugged himself out of a sickly bed and gutted out an hour long podcast. Please bear with his voice. We talk all things related to Kansas State's fast start and why Jerome Tang should be viewed, today, as COY. We also had to hat tip Providence for their scorching start in Big East play and recognize the impact Bryce Hopkins has been making. We then pivot to the Chris Beard firing from last week and how that impacts all parties involved. The boys try to get back into their winning ways with Please Sir, I Want Some More and we end it with Good Things.

  • Theater In College Hoops (Ep. 166)- Interview With Former Bucknell & Kentucky Player, Nate Sestina
Just an awesome interview for you today as we kick of 2023. We were lucky enough to bring on Nate Sestina! He dove into his time at Bucknell and the heartbreaking tournament losses his teams suffered against West Virginia & Michigan State. We then pivot to his time with Kentucky and he goes in depth into the first conversation he had with John Calipari. Nate also peeled the curtain back and let us know what it was like being a Kentucky basketball player. It ain't all roses. We talk a little about Rutgers big win and identify some good things. Happy New year, folks! March is going to be here before you know it.

  • Theater In College Hoops (Ep. 165)- Blue Blood Matchup Recap
Not gonna lie to you. It's been a tumultuous and heated week amongst the TICH boys. We had to hash some thing out as we recap Arizona's win over Tennessee. Then we also had to get to the big blue blood matchups this past weekend. Kansas smashed Indiana but Subbi isn't all out on the Hoosiers. What's going on with Kentucky against ranked teams? We break down what's going wrong in Lexington. Then we shift our focus to Houston and Virginia. We may not have agreed on much this past week but we all agree Houston is the best team in the country. We discuss bets in Please Sir, I Want Some More and Good Things. Finally we get on outta here with a quiz.

  • Theater In College Hoops (Ep. 164)- Interview With Former Middle Tennessee State Hero, Giddy Potts
I guess it's upset week here at TICH as we bring on Giddy Potts. The man, the myth, the legend who helped Middle Tennessee State shock Michigan State back in 2016. We dive into that game, his mindset and how well the whole Raider team played that game. We also get his thoughts on the transfer portal and his "next up" mentality. I dive into some topics from this week as well including the IARP decision for Arizona, UCLA mauling Maryland and we wrap it up celebrating Louisville's first win of the season. Hug for them!

Hilarious episode as we welcome to the program former Saint Mary's legend, Omar Samhan. He dives into his career as an agent and we had to relive some iconic moments such as him knocking off #2 seed Villanova. We also talk about some of the best players he's faced and Omar gives us an unforgettable story from one of the greatest players to ever play the game. We also talk about Chris Beard and how this impacts Texas as well as Creighton's free fall and some delectable games to look forward to on Saturday. Grab a glass of egg nog and enjoy!

  • Theater In College Hoops (Ep. 162)- Maryland, Gonzaga’s Window & Rivalries Renewed
Jimmy V week is here, folks. You know what? Before listening to this podcast, go listen to Valvano's speech. I don't care if it's the millionth time you've heard it. The words will live on forever. Once you finish that up, you can listen to us talk about Maryland and the state of Gonzaga. Is it good that they're getting punched in the mouth early this season? We also preview some spicy matchups as Houston looks to exact revenge on Alabama and Kansas/Mizzou tip as well. Also do we care about Georgetown/Syracuse? I know we're supposed to but deep down in places we don't talk about do we really care? We wrap it up with Please Sir, I Want Some More and Good Things.

  • Theater In College Hoops (Ep. 161)- Feast Week & Big Ten/ACC Challenge
Feast Week is officially in the books and we're ready to embrace the Big 10/ACC Challenge. Lotta terrific games on tap this week and dive into our favorites. I think everyone is pavloving for UNC/Indiana. We also recap the best from Feast Week which include highlighting Arizona, Tennessee, UConn and Purdue. What were some of the biggest takeaways from their performances. Following that, we had to discuss the conflict in Syracuse between Bryant and the Orange. Is anyone else a little tired of Jim Boeheim? After that we return to one of our favorite segments: Please Sir, I Want Some More followed by a bit of a rebrand called Stan Indursky's Good Things
