  • 60 - Katja Snoeijs
Katja Snoeijs grew up in the Netherlands and like many other professional women's footballers she started off by playing with boys. That was also something that could have gotten her to quit playing for good. Today she is a forward at Everton FC in the Women's Super League and in the Dutch national team. She has represented three clubs back home in the Netherlands in the Eredivisie Vrouwen; SC Telstar, VV Alkmaar and PSV. After becoming the top scorer in the league more than one time she moved abroad to play for Bordeaux in France before signing with the Toffees in the summer of 2022. In this episode we talk to Katja Snoeijs about why she signed for Everton and what she thinks a forward needs to be really good at on the pitch in the WSL to perform at the very highest level. • 59 - Jelena Čanković
Jelena Čanković left the Swedish topside FC Rosengård as one of the absolute best players in the Damallsvenskan. She joined Chelsea, the multiple Champions of England, on a three-year deal in August 2022. The Serbian national team midfielder is an experienced winner herself, both from back home in Serbia but also from playing in Spain with Barcelona, in Hungary with Ferencvaros and in Sweden with both Växjö DFF and Rosengård. In this episode, she talks about growing up in Serbia, how she sees herself as a football player, how vital scanning is to her as a tool out on the pitch, and why she decided to join Chelsea.  Čanković turned out to be a football nerd, and we thought this episode turned out well, and we hope you will too. Happy listening, and don't forget to subscribe, leave a review and enjoy it as much as possible!
