The police were never intended to be what we need them to be or even what we think they are.

This pandemic has exposed our weaknesses and our epidemic lack of leadership which makes COVID-19 even more dangerous.

We have a national lack of leadership and unfortunately the Black Lives Matter movement is victim to this problem as well. It’s this lack of leadership that has caused the movement to do a poor job drafting a comprehensive plan to address police brutality and systemic racism within our institutions and what the expectations are.

The Democrats in Congress are introducing The Justice In Policing Act in response to the national outrage following the murder of George Floyd by Minneapolis police. A tone deaf gesture that falls very short on addressing the police brutality and racism.

My thoughts on George Floyd and how COVID-19 created the perfect season of protest.

My spirituality keeps me positive and grounded during uncertain times.
