What is the church? Why is it important? Can you be a Christian and not go to church? What are the real benefits of being part of a church? Has Christianity always been intrinsically linked to church attendance?
These are just some of the many questions that are asked whenever we think about the church. They are questions that come from either side of the fence. For those who profess not to be Christians, they wonder what is the point, or even the relevance of the church? And for those who are Christians, they wonder whether attending church is that essential. Increasingly more people are of an opinion that you do not necessarily need to be regularly attending a church in order to be a Christian. How do we understand these various elements?
This week, Pete and the curious team will be asking the question — “Is Attending Church Important?”— They will look at what the church is, why it is so important to Faith? And what are the benefits and drawbacks of embracing or ignoring Church?
