Following an interesting conversation between Juan Carlos Martinez (former Catholic now Presbyterian) and James Prather (former Presbyterian now Catholic), we realized so much more ground needed to be covered. Not to worry! James brought in Michael Gormley of Lay Evangelist and Evan did a little more than just host on a sequel episode. This time, we narrowed the scope to just the question of authority. Is it scripture alone? Are popes really infallible? We go pretty deep on this episode of Theology on Air. And yes, a third episode has already been recorded and will be out soon.

Amy Orr-Ewing, scholar and apologist, joins Sarah and Evan to talk about Mary, the Mother of Jesus. Thinking that honoring her would be "too Catholic," have Protestants given short shrift to Mary? Is it time to look at her not as just a passive vessel, but a powerful voice for justice?

Sarah, Evan, Mace, and James look at Catholic Leftism (?), the popularity of Osama bin Laden, Homeschooling, and the loss of literacy in America.

Pastor Meredith Mills joins Sarah and Evan to talk about food and its many explicit and implicit connections to faith. From its use in hospitality to our need to be connected to the earth, good stewardship of real food is something Christians should start to incorporate into their faith walk. We look at some controversial topics as well, like the food industrial complex and whether we should rethink mega-farms.

The smaller-than-usual crew of Sarah and Evan look nothing but spicy topics on this episode of WPR. We look at the use of AI images to create deepfakes of real people, the bizarre support for Hamas in the United States, the open southern border and whether Christians should support immigration, and the newest trend in the trans world: trans-age. Dr. Lynn Cohick of Houston Christian University and Houston Theology Seminary joins Sarah and Evan to look at slavery in the New Testament and the ancient world at-large. We compare it to the slavery seen in America and the present day. It is a tough, but necessary, topic to tackle given modern implications.

While this episode is not marked "Explicit," there are some difficult conversations around the abuse, including sexual abuse, of slaves. You may not want your children to listen in on those conversations.
