Sarah Stone and Dan Aikins of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church stop by to talk about modern evangelism. How do you reach the next generation, especially given the worldview they have imbibed? Melissa Cain Travis joins us this week to look at the questions around science and faith. Are science and faith compatible? Are they contradictory? Does science actually point to God? What do we do with those parts of the Bible that seem, well, just wrong scientifically? And do reasonable arguments alone "prove" that God exists? 

Melissa serves as Assistant Professor of Christian Apologetics at Houston Baptist University, where she has been on the faculty since 2013. She is the author of "Science and the Mind of the Maker: What the Conversation Between Faith and Science Reveals About God" (2018), a contributing author for "The Story of the Cosmos: The Heavens Declare the Glory of God." 

Dr. Philip Tallon of Houston Baptist University joins Theology on Air to discuss horror films and Christianity. Originally recorded on Halloween night, this slightly spooky episode examines what art can teach us about Christianity in general and what the horror genre specifically brings to the table. And yes, there is some gab about favorite horror movies and a few recommendations for can't-miss horror movies. 

Is Atheism Reasonable? On today's episode, Brian Woods and Taylor Neill discuss whether atheism can substantiate a coherent and complete worldview, or whether it lacks the fundamental tools to justify how atheists see the world. Most Christian apologists see atheism as an incomplete or even impossible foundation to build a view of reality upon. Atheists argue that you don't need God or religion to build a life of meaning, morality, and even reason.

What do we think about Santa? Can/should non-Christians celebrate Christmas? Does Christmas borrow from pagan traditions? If God became flesh, why is there still so much suffering, especially during the holidays? 

A programming note. This was our first time to try to record the audio and it didn't go as awesome as everything else usually does for us.
