This narrative starts Matthew's account of the feeding of the 5,000. In this first verse Jesus shows the important lesson of rest.

Today we finish the narrative of the death of John the Baptist. Herod succumbed to peer pressure. Are we doing the same as we go about our daily lives?

John the Baptist tell Herod the Tetrach that it is unlawful to be with his brother's wife.

We start a new chapter today! In today's verses we have an opportunity to review history and look at Herod the Tetrarch is, and we get into the death of John the Baptist.

Jesus starts teaching in his hometown, but is rejected. Similarly, some of us may loose family and friends when we choose to follow Jesus.

This week's episode is a little shorter than the others, but the topic is amazing. What is grace? Grace is a free gift from God, and without that grace we don't stand a chance.

Jesus uses a parable to show that out of the old covenant something new has come.

This is what is known as the parable of the dragnet. It describes how the righteous will be separated from the wicked, and all nations will be represented in the kingdom of God.

Jesus has two parables that describe Heaven. They both have the same point and show Heaven as a free gift.
