On this episode I sat down and chatted with fellow Catch Wrestler and long time traditional Martial Arts enthusiast Martin J Austwick. Oz has written several books about the history and evolution of sword fighting and bare knuckle fighting in England throughout the centuries. His work can be found on Amazon and pugilism.org. He also has a youtube channel dedicated to Martial Arts which also includes a tremendous interview with the War Master Josh Barnett.

�On this episode, I sat down for a great conversation with Gerard Richardson of www.richardsonsofwhitehaven.co.uk of Whitehaven. It's surprising how interesting people can be when you take time to listen to what they have to say and what they have achieved in life. Gerard has led a very interesting life so far and we are able to hear about a small part of it in this podcast. From his love of local history, to his involvement in organising Whitehaven's annual festivals including organising the Queen and Prince Philip's visit. Gerard also takes us through the history of John Paul Jones and subsequently leading to instigating the mariners pardon for his crimes against the British, which all led to Gerard rubbing shoulders with dignitaries from both the US and Russia.  

Also, Gerard gives us a glimpse into the time he has spent as a wine merchant, which is the primary point of his shop (along with the great coffee).

On this episode, I had the pleasure of Carl Wammo Walmsley. A local lad from Mirehouse in Whitehaven, who has a real heart warming story of self improvement. From a life of self confessed selfishness, through turning points and life struggles that inspired him to turn his life around and dedicate his time and resources to helping other people less fortunate than himself along with the local community where he lives. His story doesn't end there. Through his endeavours of helping others and the local community, he has decided to expand his wings and to offer his positivity to surrounding towns and villages by running for the Local Council seat, of which the election takes place on May 4th 2017. It was fantastic to speak to a normal working class lad, that offers so much inspiration, with the purest integrity and intention. I hope that this podcast reaches out to others that require some motivation, inspiration or indeed just a person to listen to them.

The Priory Podcast - Musical Influence 1982-1999. I've re-issued this podcast as I've had to set up a new user interface with Libsyn and iTunes. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending of your point of view) that means I can't access ALL of the old episodes. I have a handful saved however, that I will be re-issuing prior to recording new ones.
