There's Good News!

Hosea 13:6 daily devotional | I think it’s easy for us to forget God when we feel like everything’s going well. It’s been a good reminder for me to not forget who the source is of all the good I experience and also to not neglect God because we don’t have any problems anymore.

Hosea 11:7 daily devotional | Another thing God called the Israelites out on was their tendency to say God was Most High, but not actually live like He was. Do we do the same?

Hosea 10:12 daily devotional | Today, I talked about farming, about which I am no expert, so yeah. But, I loved the way this verse used the sowing and reaping metaphor to explain how we as Christians should be diligent and disciplined about seeking God and experiencing His grace.

Hosea 6:6 daily devotional | What does God mean when He says, "I desire mercy and not sacrifice"? It's so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of "doing" for God that we miss the devotion and quality time that's more vital for our relationship with Him.

Hosea 2:5 daily devotional | When I read this verse, I was convicted of doing the same thing God saw Israel doing: treating earthly things like they were the source of all the good I experienced. How sad that must make God! He's our true source of love, and if I'm grateful at all, I'd show devotion and loyalty to Him.

I read this verse in Hosea during my quiet time and I started reflecting on its significance for us now. We all have our own idols, things that take us away from our God who deserves our undivided attention. This verse and these thoughts propelled me to take an inventory of what He's given me and how I'm using it all.

I'm so glad you asked. I love it when people say "It's just like how...." and then they use a metaphor to explain the concept. There are so many cool analogies I've heard to use when sharing the gospel so I'm excited to share those today!
