Fanta shares her story of joyous times of growing up in a culturally diverse environment and how it contributes to her ability to use words to create colorful pictures and heart-felt stories through poetry. Learn more about this remarkable young man who is committed to incite social change in his community, state of Malawi, and in the world at large. IN this episode, Joseph shares one of his poems (titled Father Figure Skating) that celebrates the strength and courage of a woman bus driver (a rarity in Malawi, and surrounding states). Joseph, a social worker by trade, has dreams of becoming a philosopher (another rarity in his country) so that his writings can serve as a platform for social change in his community.
