The terrifying disintegration of mankind fills people with more dread than terror; however, the extinction tropes are often used in some of the most effective horror movies and TV shows to be used as cautionary tales. What is more terrifying is that this deterioration process that has been seen as fiction is now becoming reality and we are no longer imagining a Zombie Apocalypse – we are courting it. But the true zombie we should fear is that of a diseased human being who somehow spreads a virus resistant to what antibiotics we have in the world’s strategic stockpiles.
