On Friday in their clubhouse in Oak Park, Carlow Rugby Club launched the book, County Carlow Football Club 1873-2023. It was a fabulous occasion and brought back many happy memories of Carlow's five Provincial Towns Cup wins in the 1990s while they went on to play in Division 1 of the All-Ireland League.
Kim Thurbon was senior manager when the club went from AIL Division 3 to AIL Division 1 .
Here he looks back on what was a fascinating number of years for him and for the players he managed while he was in Carlow.
