Good people of Sauce, happy TWOSday. Episode 16 is upon us. Shout out Vinny Testaverde. Our guest of honor this week is esteemed: choreographer, actor, dancer, singer, director, and 2020 Big Easy Theatre Person of the year @imizpolancojonesjr
Talk about a five tool player. Polanco is a gifted conversationalist, and he dives right in with us. Educating your hosts and the masses about his New Orleans roots. Speaking of roots, we always like to ask our guests about the early days, and what lead them to their gifts. Polanco got his start singing in church. He broke down how deep
his relationship with God is; as well as continuing his love of church and God as a queer identifying man, remaining undeterred by occasional preachers that use scripture to send prejudiced messages about his lifestyle. We segue into Polanco's personal work, and he breaks down to us why it's important for artists from difficult backgrounds to try to take risks in their crafts. I can keep writing, but it's a caption not a book, just listen.
