Food Police — Silencing the Voices That Steal Our Peace
Family, this one is personal.
For so many of us, eating isn’t just about hunger — it’s about the voices we’ve been conditioned to follow.
In this episode, I break down the “Food Police,” the inner voices that try to control our choices:
✨ The Inner Critic — the voice of diet culture, family pressure, and shame
✨ The Rebel — the “you can’t tell me what to do” voice that rises from restriction
✨ The Nutritionist — well-meaning, but easily hijacked by guilt
✨ The Anthropologist — the calm, curious, non-judging voice of intuition and truth
Just like life, we will ALWAYS have competing voices…
the angel on one shoulder, the devil on the other, both presenting “evidence” to sway our decisions.
But in the middle of all that noise, God’s voice is still speaking.
Not loud. Not forceful.
A still small voice full of peace, wisdom, and freedom.
This episode is a reminder that you get to decide who you listen to.
You get to choose compassion over criticism.
Truth over trauma.
And the report of the Lord over the report of diet culture.
If you’ve ever battled guilt, shame, rebellion, restriction, or confusion around food… this episode is for you
