PC's Whalley & Gordon were attending a standard incident for Police which turned violent when the offenders became extremely aggressive. Armed with weapons, the offenders were brutal in their treatment of both officers, resulting in death and injury.

But how has this incident affected 21st Century Policing?

PC Beshenivsky was only 9 months into her Police career when she attended a report of a personal attack alarm at an estate agents in Bradford.

The much loved wife and mother was fatally injured, whilst her colleague was seriously injured, causing a massive loss to the Policing world, not to mention the family and friends of Sharon.

The incident in 1912 began with a mysterious man lying on the portico of the house belonging to Countess Flora Sztaray as she was being picked up, which turned into the brutal murder of Police Inspector Arthur Wall. Arthur was a serving Inspector within the Sussex area.

Listen to the story of how a hero attended, what seems like, a simple job, when suddenly two shots shatter the calm evening in the leafy suburb in Eastbourne, Insp Walls lay dead in the street. An investigation begins however twists and turns.

Some months later, a man is executed for his murder.

A Police pursuit on the Wirral ends in catastrophe as the stolen Mitsubishi’s driver causes fatal injuries to PC Dave Phillips.
