While many are affected by suicide, unfortunately it is not a topic of conversations in a real way. Some people struggle with the idea of suicide, some hold their religious views tightly on the subject and others choose to not address it at all. With this episode we hope to start the conversation for those that have never had it and tackle how this subject impacts the African American community. Many of our youth have been labeled with having an Emotional Disturbance. What does this really mean and are we addressing the true issues? Our children are dealing with emotional disorders but are we simply putting a label on them and letting others define what that means? There are many misconceptions and feelings that come to mind when we discuss our youth and mental health. This episode is looking to address what many parents won't discuss or recognize: that our children need help.

We previously talked about the 90 day rule with a male journalist who provided insight that he did not believe in it. I wanted to get the perspective of a woman as well. Also, I did some research to find some studies that proved (or disproved) the effectiveness of waiting and will also share the general feedback that I received by taking a few polls.
