Whether we're buying eggs, milk or any electronic product, there's an expectation that it meets a certain standard of quality. From that, we have certain testing regimes that all these products will go through. The same goes for our bricks! When you purchased brick there's an expectation that those bricks will be strong enough, durable enough, and actually be of the correct size to build a house in. Brick testing is done during the manufacturing process so that these expectations are met.
In this episode your host Elizabeth McIntyre, and Civil Engineer, Keanu Andrews, cover topics such as;
- Meeting certain standards such as AS4455.1 and AS4455.2 & the AS4456;
- The types of tests that are done;
- How the bricks are tested accurately;
- and much more...
