Success, courage, pivots. Rebecca Bratiling, my guest today, shares her journey from lawyer to entrepreneur.
I come from a long line of lawyers so Rebecca's story really resonated with me.
In this episode, Rebecca speaks about redefining success. Early in her career, she realized that the practice of law just didn't feed her soul. So, she made a pivot and took a pay cut and became an Employee Relations leader at a large company. When her company was acquired, she was again faced with the choice. Stay in HR or pivot again.
The rest is history. Rebecca chose the route of entrepreneur and is a founding partner at InspiraWork. InspirWork's mission is to transform companies into communities. This adventure has been filled with opportunities for growth and impact.
We also talk about trusting your gut, aligning values with opportunities and the power of synergy.

And, we talk about how important it is for powerful, successful women to show up and support other women.

When I started this podcast in January, I never expected to be talking about a pandemic. Let's face it, this situation has forced us to pivot in every area of our lives. Whether you are learning to work remotely, are managing children at home, worried about losing your job, we are being forced to think differently.
In this episode, I explore how energy awareness shows up during a crisis.
I also share my insights into an article from Harvard Business Review by Scott Berinato entitled "That Discomfort Your Feeling is Grief." His interview with David Kessler, author of "Finding Meaning: The Sixth Stage of Grief", powerfully describes collective grief and anticipatory grief and how this emotion is permeating our collective consciousness during this crisis.
The grief process and energy awareness align in a powerful way to give meaning to the feelings that many of us are experiencing.
This podcast provides listeners with key takeaways on how to find courage in a time of crisis.

Who exactly is #FarrahtheLioness?
In today's episode, I'll be talking about finding your inner #ROAR (including where #Farrahthelioness came from...)
When we think about #thinkingcourageously, it's important to consider the role that fear and pain play in creating a courageous mindset. We fear things that cause us pain. We avoid them...Often times, we step around the fear vs. going through it.
As the old adage says "pain is inevitable, suffering is optional"
In this episode, I talk about the importance of unleashing the pain and creating the space for courage.
How does pain and fear show up viscerally for people? I'll share a few examples of how it shows up for me and metaphors my clients have used.
What might it feel like to stop playing small, to identify your inner gremlin, to own your inner gremlin, to thank your inner gremlin and send it on its way! We'll talk about how the coaching process can support you on this journey.
And what if we operated from a new mindset? "Don't try to manage your feelings. Dance with them instead" (Peter Bregman). What would your #ROAR sound like?
How can we teach ourselves and others to lean into our fear and pain? In this podcast, I provide a few tips on how to address and release emotions.
Imagine what it might feel like to release and get to the other side of some of these emotions? It takes the willingness to #thinkcourageously.
You are exactly where you are supposed to be...
The thought of a new opportunity that allows me to grow my skills and to work with a "blank canvas" really excites me!
Did you know that women 55 years and over are the fastest-growing segment of the economy? And, that the number of women 5 years out of college making a career shift has nearly doubled? On today's episode, I'll share some of the research out there regarding women and career pivots.
I'll also share the Readers Digest version of my 30-year career journey. I'll highlight three major pivots and what my takeaways were from each experience.
