ABOUT - Irnise is an experienced nurse and health law attorney that works with healthcare providers who want to protect their license, decrease liability and mitigate risks. After working in the operating room and the pre-op/PACU years ago, Irnise decided that she could do more for nurses, patients, and the healthcare system by working to change healthcare as a legal advocate and social justice change agent. As a graduate of Howard University and the Howard University School of Law, her practice is deeply rooted in social justice, and she serves as an architect of social change for both the clinicians and patients in the community. Irnise still works as a travel nurse and runs her practice while also trying to find the balance of supporting her own family.

BLAKE, M.S., ED.M. - In our conversation, Tiffany shared gem after gem and you’ll learn how you can focus your activities and interest in college to build your resume so that you are ready to be a successful professional regardless of which industry you wish to launch your professional life.
ABOUT - Tiffani L. Blake joined New York Institute of Technology as interim Dean of Students for the Long Island and New York City campuses in July 2019 after serving as Dean of Students at The College of New Rochelle. As Dean of Students, she was responsible for championing New York Tech’s goal to be a student-centered institution that creates culture change, promotes inclusion and diversity, stimulates innovation and entrepreneurship, and promotes personal and professional student growth and development. She worked closely with faculty, department chairs, deans, and student affairs staff to enhance the student experience through programs, initiatives and resources related to student activities, residence life, health and wellness, new student orientation, student leadership, judicial affairs, and commuter student services.
In April 2020, Tiffani was appointed Assistant Provost of Student Engagement and Development. In this role, she will serve as the Chief Student Affairs Officer for New York Tech’s New York campuses and report directly to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Reporting to the Assistant Provost are the Dean of Students, Director of Military and Veterans Affairs, Director of Career Services, Senior Director of Experiential Education, Director of International Education, the Vocational Independence Program, and the HEOP office.
In addition to her extensive higher education experience, Tiffani is dedicated to service and volunteerism. Actively involved in the Archdiocese of New York, she has been a commissioner of the Office of Black Ministry of the Archdiocese since 2005. She is a member of the North Manhattan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and a 2016 recipient of the Business Council of Westchester's Rising Star award, which recognizes individuals under the age of 40 who excel in their fields/leadership in the county. Tiffani is also an inaugural recipient of the Archdiocese of New York’s Bakhita Woman of Faith & Service Award. She currently serves on the board of trustees of The Ursuline School in New Rochelle and has organized and participated in several service trips in Mexico, Haiti, and the U.S., among other volunteer activities.
An alumna of The College of New Rochelle, Tiffani holds a master's degree in industrial/organizational psychology from Baruch College and a master's degree in higher and post-secondary education from Teachers College at Columbia University. Currently, she is a doctoral candidate in organizational leadership at Northeastern University.
