  • You're S.T.U.P.I.D. featuring Author & Anti-Bullying Activist Justin Coats
As we close this year, we feel it is important to two very important societal problems; Bullying & Suicide.  In this special edition of the Thinking Out Loud Radio Show, we dedicate this show to the cause of Anti-Bullying & Suicide Prevention. Two very important causes that need more and more of our collective attention. And, yes it seems that during the holiday season more and more people make the ultimate choice to the end their lives for so many different reasons. During tonight's show we talk with a young man who not only was bullied as a teenager in school. but has found a way to turn this test of his childhood into a phenomenal testimony. Justin Coates, Author & Anti-Bullying Activist was bullied  for 7 years because he had an IEP (Individualized Education Plan) for reading and math comprehension. He found that nature and animal photos is what kept him motivated through his ordeal.  He currently is now working towards entrepreneurship and advocating against bullying. He has published his first children’s book "Please Don’t Tease" and has a T-shirt Brand called S.T.U.P.I.D. You've got to tune to the show to hear what this powerful acronymn means. His goal is to help others who are struggling and trying to make it  who have been affected by bullying.
We also discuss the recent suicides of Fox News Detroit Meteorologist Jessica Starr; and how a new method of Lasik Surgery could've been the cause. As well as a 9 yr old young black girl who committed sucide because she was being bulled in school. These are just some of the recent casualities of suicide that we have experienced, and we believe it is so important that if you are feeling depressed or having anxiety, or you are being bullied in school or in the workplace that you seek help. Bullying and Suicide are co-joined problems that we as community need to address. Join us for this powerful show.

  • 8am Pt.II Politics & the Church feat. Dr. Freddy Haynes
Tonight at 8 pm we continue with our discussion of the subject of "Politics & the Church: The 21st Century Role of the Minister" with intellectual luminary Dr. Frederick Douglass Haynes III, Pastor of Friendship West Baptist Church in Dallas, TX. If you thought last week's show was great, what until you here the conclusion of this power-packed conversation dealing with Pres. Trump, the White Evangelicals, the Black Pastor meeting with Trump, and a whole lot more.  This is a very penetrating and compelling question that I'm sure is on the minds of many ministers and pastors who want to know what they should be doing in this volatile political climate in America.  During the 1960s the Black Church was the epicenter of the Civil Rights Movement and leaders like Dr. King used the church as the platform to move the mission and objectives of the Civil Rights Movement further. What should churches be doing today to move the agenda of Black America in Washington, DC? What should Black pastors be doing today to move the agenda of Black America forward in Washington, DC? How should they interact with leadership at the White House? Or, is there even a need today for churches and pastors to be engaged in Washington as we were back in the 1960s? These are just some of the questions that we plan to discuss during our interview with Dr. Frederick Haynes-  a proven spiritual and social leader who continues to masterfully and skillfully combine the two to illustrate the necessity of having both components in the 21st Church's mission statement.
Plus, we also to discuss the question of are coming to the end of the Mueller Investigation, Kareem Hunt situation and when are Black Male Athletes going to learn, and would you buy shoes from PALESSI? We plan to discuss all this, plus a whole lot more during tonight's show.
