  • "Women of Influence Series" feat. Baltimore City's State's Atty Marilyn Mosby
This week we kick off "Women's History Month" and our "Women of Influence Series" with Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby. She is Baltimore’s 25th State's Attorney and she is dedicated and committed to the people of this great city. In our interview Atty Mosby talks very candidly about her decision to charge the 6 officers who killed unarmed Freddy Gray back in 2015, and the backlash that ensued. And, while those officers were not convicted of those charges back in 2015, we can still see some of the residual effects of Atty Mosby's decision to charge this officers, in future cases that have impacted the Black Community such as George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and many others. We appreciate Atty Mosby's candor, as well as her vision for the city of Baltimore. She went into this profession as an attorney to effectuate change not just in her community but in this country, and we believe she is doing just that. We are excited that she is kicking off Women's History Month and our Women of Influence Series in this week's episode.
PLUS, in our Thought of the Week, we have a message for the Ukrainian people entitled, "Am I My Brother's Keeper?" It is an encouraging and inspirational message to the people of Ukraine that are currently fighting for their lives and their freedom in the midst of this senseless and unjust war with Russia and Vladmir Putin. Our thoughts and prayers are continually with the families of those impacted by this senseless violence, and we believe most importantly that God is definitely in control. We hope you will take some time to check out this week's edition of the Thinking Out Loud Radio Show.

  • The Best of 2021, feat. Global Advocate & Activist Martin Luther King III
In this New Year's Eve Edtion of the Thinking Out Loud Radio Show, we are celebrating the end of 2021 and beginning of a new year 2022. As we reflect upon the many interviews that we were blessed to share this year, we have been blessed to interview some of the country's best and brightest minds. And, we selected just one of the many interviews we have been able to conduct over the 4yrs we have been doing this podcast to share in this week's show. Global Advocate & Activist Martin luther King III is still one of my favorite interviews that i've done this year, and quite possibly since I've been doing the show. The opportunity to talk to the son of the iconic and legendary Civil Rights Leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr was an extreme privlige. We talked about his iconic father and the indelibile imporssion he left on the lives of his family, and how his father's legacy has insprired the work that he is doing not just in the country but around the world. We also talked about then President Donald Trump, and the damage he's done to our democracy and what can be done to repair it. Martin Luther King III even shared a special moment his daughter had with Pres. Barack Obama in the White House that he and his family will never forget. This is definitely an interview you can't miss.
PLUS, we close out this year with a very special Thought of the Week enttiled, "Strange Fruit" which is an excerpt of a message we minstered regarding the fiery trials that we experience in life to think it not strange, but they often times come to take us from one level of faith to the next. As we look back over the events that have transpired this past year, this is the message that has resonated the most with me. We hope you take a few minutes to this listen to this week's show, and most importantly from all of us to all of you...Happy New Year!

  • The Oxford High School Shooting - Where Do We Go From Here?
This week's show is dedicated to the families of the victims of the Oxford High School Shooting that took place on Nov 30th. Hanna St. Julianne, Justin Shilling, Tate Myre, & Madisyn Baldwin were gunned down at the hands of deranged teenager Ethan Crumbley, and several others were wounded and countless others traumitized by what took place that fateful day. Our throughts and prayers are with the familes of the victims and the students of ths school as they try to sort out the details of what happened and try to put the pieces of their lives and their school back together. We decided to dedicate this week's entire show to discuss not just what happened that fateful day on November 30th, but to talk about the events leading up to that day and where do we go from here? We believe that we need to be proactive instead of reactive in situations like this, and we can defintiely learn from the mistakes and missteps that were made as we endeavor to move forward and to try to find ways to heal and prevent this type of tragic event from happening again.
PLUS, we have another dynamic Thought of the Week that I believe is directly in line with the topic for this week's show. We put our minister's hat on this week and share an excerpt of a powerful message that we delivered entitled, "He's Still The One," In a world where it seems we have more questions than answers, we must remember that Jesus Christ is still the one. This is defintitely a thought that is guaranteed to bless you. We hope you are able to take some time this week to listen to the show.
