I'm sorry for the mess you're about to hear, but I needed to get introspective and awkward. Hope this brings you some amusement. :)
It's been a while, huh? This is awkward... let's catch up!
If you're new here, my name is Ryan, just your average 21-year-old wannabe podcaster from Texas with not much to say.
Every now and then I pop in, post something, and then dip for a few months. Well not anymore! I want this podcast to grow and flourish, and to do that, I'll be posting consistently every week about things that make me curious enough to think out loud!
With frequent guests and a desire to talk and hear myself talk, I'll find my footing and target focal point of this show in no time! Just bear with me!
As always, you can follow me everywhere @ryamatoli.
The music in this episode is called "North Fell" by Delayde, and was used with permission from the artist. :)
This week I sat down the the co-founder and leader of the movement #ChangeRapeCulture, Kimiya Factory, in an effort to learn more about why amplifying Black voices and becoming better advocates of the #BlackLivesMatter movement, is crucial to their livelihood.
Saturday, June 6, 2020, Kimiya is leading an event called #PaintForFloyd, where community members can come and paint murals for Black lives that have been lost in San Antonio. Also, this day, Kimiya will be meeting with San Antonio Mayor, Ron Nirenberg, with a list concerns she'd like to be addressed in the city. Feel free to reach out to her if you'd like to voice your concerns as well.
Sunday, June 7, 2020, Kimiya will be joining other organizers at Milam Park in downtown San Antonio for a vigil. Any donations made at this event will be given to the families of those who've lost their lives as a result of racist aggression.

Let's address the elephant in the room; this episode is three days late. Oh well.
This week I just wanted to sit down and tell you guys about how I've been feeling lately, because why not? I've been in such a good mood lately, and I wanted to spread some of that energy to y'all, especially because the current situation has left many of us worried and stressed... there's no right way to cope and process a pandemic, so why not do it with me?
The music you hear is called "North Fell" by Delayde, for which I have been granted permission to use on this podcast. Support him by streaming his music!
That's all for today. Love you guys. xo
