San Diego Comic Con, is fast becoming just a regular event in our lineup. This is Juan's second year going, and Jon's third year going. This is our first year in which we did any kind of recording while we were at the event! This is that coverage!! We talk about going to see Kevin Smith, all the stars that Jon got to meet through the weekend, and what our favorite parts of this years show were. Plus, special appearances by Carissa, who learns a few things about imprints, and Image/Skybound.

We do have one awesome interview during this episode, that we did back home! The weekend of August 25th, is Colorado Springs Comic Con! We will be covering this comic con as members of the press! With that being said, in this episode we speak with Susan Soares, the "Press Relations Manager" at Altered Reality Entertainment, the company putting on the show. Susan tells us about some of the guests, how it all came to be, and how they acquired the naming rights to the building, that the event is now housed in. It is a very cool interview, and we are very excited to be spending the weekend at this event!

Hello everyone!! The 66th episode, comes to you from out 3rd year at Denver Comic Con!!

This is our FIRST year going to Denver Comic Con as OFFICIAL members of the Press. Our interview episode came before this one, and you can use this as reference for that episode. This is our coverage at Frankie Serna's kick off party, and our coverage from our booth, on the floor of the Comic Con.

At the kickoff party, we speak to two different people! First, we talk to Collect 2 Display! They make toploading frames for your walls! The frames that were on display, were housing all of Frankie's art, and were absolutely gorgeous! They make all of the frames by hand, and make them to accentuate your art! Do NOT miss the boat on these frames before the demand goes up!

We also talk to Stickslate! They make some of the coolest backpacks that you will wear! What sets these backpacks apart, is that you can switch out (with velcro) the front picture of the backpack. They get art from different artists, and make stickers out of their art. That way, you can switch out the "skins" if you feel like wearing a different character every day! Juan personally owns one himself! They're gorgeous, and are actually very sturdy bags!!

During the show, we talk to some of the people who are wandering around the halls, but since we weren't at the booth very often, you hear us mostly talk with the gang of the Not So Sufferin' Sapphos podcast! Dayna, Derek, and their intern stop by throughout the weekend. They're amazing, and you should definitely check out their show as well.

Remember, you can ALWAYS let us know what you think! We can only think of so many things to talk about every other week, and would LOVE to get some feedback and ideas from all of you out there who are listening!! We also speak about Wonder Woman, Zack Snyder, and all of the awesome news that has been coming out! Our #popcultureclassic for this episode is Tucker and Dale VS Evil. Hello everyone!! Our 62st episode comes from the amazing hallowed halls of Gabe's nerdvana!

Our pick for this recording's #popcultureclassic is the 1968, George Romero classic, Night of the Living Dead. We all know that this is the mother of all zombie movies. All zombie movies got their roots thanks to George Romero, and Night of the Living Dead. This happens to be Juan's favorite movie of all time, but you know that Gabe loves it as well! Hear our opinions!!

There are TWO amazing interviews in this episode!!

The first interview comes from an amazing colorist, Nick Filardi! Nick has worked on MANY of your favorite characters, including; Batman, Superman, Deadpool, Hellboy, and SO many more!! Right now Nick is working on the Oni Press book, Heartthrob. It's all about a girl named Callie, who gets a heart transplant and suddenly is robbing banks, and has a horrible boyfriend! We also talk a little bit about the colorists importance to a book, and the need for more recognition!

Our second interview of the day comes from Barbra, and Bryant Dillon! THE driving force behind Fanbase Press! We have interviewed MANY people who create the beautiful books of Fanbase, but this time, we speak to the people in charge!! The tell us about their mission to ensure that our culture, is one of inclusivity, and growth!! The books that come out of Fanbase Press (Hero Hotel, Quince, Penguins VS Possums, Gamma Gals, etc) ALL exemplify this notion of inclusion. This is a company that is amazing at the moment, but is just getting more amazing with every book and interview they put out. They are leading the way for sure!!

Remember, you can ALWAYS let us know what you think! We can only think of so many things to talk about every other week, and would LOVE to get some feedback and ideas from all of you out there who are listening!! Hi all!! Our 61st episode comes from Hall of Justice Comics & Collectibles, where we celebrated FREE COMIC BOOK DAY!

Special guest hosts, Dominic "DomPee's" Pacheco, and Michael "midget porn" Kuyrk, join me for this awesome event, as Gabe was celebrating the birthday of his youngest daughter!

Our pick for this recording's #popcultureclassic is the 2003 comic book, Superman: Red Son. This book is all about the ramifications, of what would have happened, had Superman landed in Russia, instead of the United States. Is he a bad guy? Does he still want what is best for humanity? It's a really good read, and we have some pretty cool opinions on the book!

No "official" interviews for this episode, but we did speak to some of the artists that were on hand. Frankie Serna told us about his Denver Comic Con kickoff party, and a small amount of information about his new book with Herb. Herb spoke to us mostly about this book, which is about a soldier who can never "die." It's a 3-5 year story, and we are super excited to see how it unfolds!! We also spoke to many of the awesome attendee's, and our smallest listener, Marika, makes a special appearance!

Remember, you can ALWAYS let us know what you think! Hi all!! Our 60th episode is SUPER FLUFFY and comes to you from the depths of the nerd cave of Juan's house!!

Our pick for this recording's #popcultureclassic is the 1967 movie, In The Heat of the Night. What is supposed to be the first American buddy cop movie, does not disappoint anybody. A good movie that touches base on a lot of different cultural issues, like race, murder, and pregnancy. Definitely worth at least one viewing!

We have TWO amazing interviews this episode!!

The first of the interviews is all about the World of Darkness Documentary! Kevin Lee, the writer and producer, gives us the scoop on all things World of Darkness. He gives us some ideas about the evolution of the game, and how it transformed some horror elements in the horror genre today. He also gives us his take on pop culture, and how sometimes originators don't get the credit that they deserve! The film will debut on May 11th in Berlin, at a vampire event!! More screening information to come.

Our second interview comes from the adorable Nev Scharrel! She will be voicing the smallest (and best) person in the Despicable Me 3 movie, Agnes. We got the exclusive on her first voice interview, and let me tell you, she does amazing!! For such a young actress, she is already ahead of the game as far as class and ability goes! She gives us the inside scoop on how she got the gig, and what she thinks about her costars. She also tells us about the action movie that she wants to star in next! You don't want to miss out on our biggest interview, with our smallest interviewee!! Despicable Me 3 hits movie theaters June 30th 2017! Don't miss out on the next installment!

Hello everyone!! The 59th episode comes straight to you from one of the coolest basements in Greeley, Gabe's place!!

Our pick for this recording's #popcultureclassic is the 2002 TV series, Firefly! In order to be in the nerd club, you have to have watched this series at some point in your life!! This was Juan's first time watching, so you get to hear the thoughts of a Firefly virgin, and a Firefly expert! Good conversation, and we speak a little bit about the supposed upcoming reboot.

In honor of last episodes #popcultureclassic we gave away TEN volumes of Neil Gaiman's, Sandman. You have to listen though in order to figure out if you won or not! No worries though, even if you didn't win, you'll be getting a solid consolation prize!

Our interview for this episode comes from horror expert, Allison O'Toole and the awesome artist Rodrigo Bravo! They give us the inside scoop on their story in the Toronto Comics Anthology, Trespass. It's a horror about teenage explorers who are exploring the tunnels under Lower Bloor, and their discovery of an alien mystery.
