What Energy Does it Produce and Consume. The host for this show is Jay Fidell. The guest is Ken Rogers.
In Canada, there are diverse and reliable renewable and non-renewable energy sources: oil, natural gas, hydroelectricity, coal, nuclear (uranium), solar, wind, tidal and biomass. Canada is the fifth largest energy producer in the world and the eighth largest consumer of energy. Canadians used more than 300 gigajoules of energy per person last year — three times the world average and one of the highest per capita rates in the world. We discuss why this is so, and what does it mean for Canada's economy and energy exports.
