Since I started going back to the gym, it has occurred to me that so many times we want the success and achievement, but are not ready to pay the price for those things…

Here is the reality, all growth, all healing, is painful… But it is a necessary process, and very worth it.

The reality is, there is pain if you grow, but there is far more pain if you do not.

One of my favorite books and movies is the Lord of the Rings. The scene where Samwise Gamgee talk about the great stories brings me to tears each time.

It is so important as we go through these dark times to remember that it is just a passing shadow. Remember, there is good in this world and it is worth fighting for.

I overheard a conversation about managing people working on a corporate team, and the need to get rid of them if there were any challenges with them. "Some people may think I'm mean, but it's 'just business'"

I have a visceral reaction to the concept of justifying coldness in the name of "it's just business".

My whole ethos surrounds the concept of the Infinite Game. Growing people, helping them morph into what they need to be. I don’t see people as cogs in a machine. We are all part of the greater whole organism and we all grow and change to make it better.

Our brains, especially the subconscious, do not understand negatives. For instance, if I tell you to NOT think about a giraffe, you are going to think of a giraffe.

We need to make sure we are using positive commands. If we say "don't let me forget my keys" the command to the subconscious is: "forget keys".  Instead use "help me remember my keys". The command: "remember keys"
