ON this episode we talk about who some of our listeners will vote for and it's not surprising on the seperation. This episodes bring two former youth ministers together from St Mary's, Barbara Jean and me.
We reminisce a little bit about days in ministry, chickens, pigs, and farm life then get on to the serious topic of a rare disorder Barbara discovered she had, myotonic dystrophy. It is so rare her daughter who is now 22 years old was misdiagnosed until Barbara discovered it herself by chance a few years ago. However, the difficulty in finding out that you have a disease which will take your life is that two of your children have it as well.
This podcast is light hearted, funny and also very serious in sharing a little of Barbara's own "paschal mystery." Her zebra life and her blessed life. In this podcast you will hear her story in bringing together her blog called, A Zebra Life, A Blessed Life.

EP Five-O. Who I am - not just a cop.
This episode is part of the Who "I am" series.
Our society today is going through a lot. With the Covid-19 pandemic, lock down and the protests has left many people questioning what is going on in our world, our community. Disagreement arise among friends, among neighbors and what is it that we are to do? In our series of Who “I am” we look at who we are as a person and how we see each other? When we look do we see Christ in the other and do others see Christ in us.
On this episode we talk to two police officers about what it is like to be a police officer, the protest, Black Lives Matter.

A lot of young people are asking questions that I believe we all are asking.
Why is it taking so long for justice? Why are we still facing injustice due to racism in our country? Why are we failing, how can we be better? These are questions our nation is reckoning with and must face. Although we were not able to go in depth with these questions, I hope that you were able to take something away from this podcast. I pray that what you’ve heard will allow you to be open to dialogue with the people you disagree with and come to a consensus that benefits our community.

The Series on Who "I am" starts with an early morning conversation with Brother Dario Figueroa. Bro. Dario is originally from Cordova, Argentina. He entered formation for the Society of the Divine Word in 2013 and professed First Vows in 2015. HE traveled to Divine Word College in Epworth, Iowa, to study English in 2018 in preparation for his Cross Cultural Training Program in Botswana. He will stay in Botswana until December 2020 and then return to Argentina. He plans to profess Perpetual Vows as a Divine Word Missionary in 2021 or 2022.
We hope you enjoy this conversation and continue to listen to the extra parts at the end of our continued conversation about whats going on in the world. We also hope you are enamored by 9 year old Tanaka from Botswana.
