The anchor for our souls is that our sins have been washed away and that God is with us, we've been drawn near to him, and He is with us through it all. In this fact, is our confidence, even in difficult and trying times.

In this concluding part, we look in-depth at what pride is and the subtle ways it comes.

We see that pride, defined simply, is a sense of self-sufficiency and we are not self-sufficient. Pride depletes our sense of dependency.

There is only one who is truly self-sufficient (no man can have anything except it is from the Lord)

We also see that all of God's gifts can lead to pride once a ssense of self-sufficiency kicks in, but God is committed to pulling down pride.

Take heed that our good actions come from good intentions to give glory to God.

That our actions, if they aren't birthed from intentions to give glory to God, seek to claim glory for ourselves and this isolates us from God's plan for our lives.
