This conversation has been a long-time coming. And we’re excited to push this out to the airwaves. Kari and Tory bring on Christi Myers, the Founder and CEO of Flow Integrative, a ketamine psychotherapy practice that helps clients deal with mood disorders and substance abuse. Launched in 2020, Flow Integrative is currently a pilot clinic for the first psychedelic insurance company.
Now before you think this episode isn’t for you, please give it ten minutes. We promise if you start this episode, you will have to finish it. Christi addresses the uncomfortableness with the word psychedelic. She explains why humans are drugs and how we can do drugs better from a practitioner’s perspective.

Tory and Kari bring back another round of miraculous stories! This is a life and death story set deep in the Amazon. It’s all about being a badass, remembering what your dad taught you, and channeling a bit of Dora the Explorer.
Tory shares the story of Juliane Koepcke and how she survived a plane crash deep in the Amazon rainforest. It involves scorching heat, ten days without food, and having to move around the jungle by tossing your shoe. But, this is a harrowing story of how she was the lone survivor in this plane crash - even though initially 14 others survived the crash.
It’s a story of being mistaken for a water goddess. The power of the middle seat. And how even at 17, women encapsulate badassery.
Tory and Kari also open the show with a time and space update. And Tory shares a funny story of a very bad gig during her time in New York City.

In this episode, Kari and Tory explore:
If you are raising a boy, in partnership with a man, or have men in your life you care about, this episode will provide practical advice. While Sacred Sons are focused on men, it’s really about accountability. Authenticity. You are using relationships to be our greatest teacher. This episode can serve as the pattern interrupt to point you in the direction you know is best. It’s time to get out of your head, stop intellectualizing, and move through this world powerfully.

Tory and Kari could say f*** it today. Or they could show up, hit record, and hope something shifts. And in this episode, something shifts. After all, crying is growing.
They bring back a favorite idea, and each shares two quotes that hold significance for them right now. Tory shares a quote from Lao Tzu:
“If you do not change direction, you might end up where you are heading.”
And Kari brings a quote from Alan Watts:
“The meaning of life is just to be alive. It is so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves.”
Tory shares why she no longer lets everything slide into a sinkhole and why facing the seemingly small, uncomfortable things are harder than starting fresh and new. And Kari shares why she has changed from sitting in the moment of now to the moment of anticipation. Then she highlights why she believes in all gain, no pain, and why life should be the right kind of hard.

Tory and Kari bring back another round of miraculous stories! They don’t want to hold back from sharing the positive stories and are ready to let it rip.
Kari starts with a story of a stolen harp and how a dowser helped find it. Don’t know what a dowser is? You will.
Then Kari and Tory dive into the personal. Tory updates us as she counts down to her child entering the world, and Kari provides her tips for how she’s staying solid despite the craziness around her. They also share how alignment can be simple, the easiest way to let go of negative momentum, and why you should let your anger be anger (it’s okay).
And please share your miraculous stories with them! It doesn’t matter if it’s not perfect or you feel like it’s braggy. Celebrate yourself. Let it rip in your own life. Send your story to [email protected]. And join the This Feels Important text community at 1-619-566-7722.

Tory and Kari have been mulling new ideas to bring you beautiful stories of the wild and crazy, almost unimaginable miracles together for a podcast series. All with the intention to get you inspired and move. Thanks to Tory’s podcast proclivity, they’ve landed on the way to giving this new thing a try. So it’s time for storytime!
Tory loves the journalistic storytelling approach of many podcasts, yet so few tell a positive story. This Feels Important will change that! It doesn’t take a true crime story to feel giddy and be on the edge of your seat. It can even be done with miraculous stories. Call it the uplifting shock factor.
So Kari and Tory invite you to expand your belief beyond what you know to be true so that you can create a life more magical than it is right now. Tory has distilled David’s remarkable story into an edge-of-your-seat experience that she will regale for Kari.
They hope to do more of these episodes, so tell them how it lands for you in their new text community! Send Kari and Tory a hi, emoji, literally anything to 1-619-566-7722. And stay through the end of the episode to learn how you can submit your own story when life proved bigger than you previously imagined.

Kari and Tory are back and heading right into the deep topics. Kari is here after a whirlwind national parks tour, and after a brief time and place update, Kari and Tory talk psychedelics.
You’ve heard right. In this episode, Kari and Tory talk through the questions you shared. Questions like: Are psychedelics safe? Are they natural? What does microdosing mean? Are they scary? What happens if you have a bad trip? Also, they explain why they call psychedelics medicine, the difference between ceremonial grade and microdosing, and how to build a conscious community to support you.
Kari and Tory’s experiences with this medicine have amplified their lives, added more color, and even improved their relationship. In the future, the podcast will bring on facilitators, doctors, and experts to explore this topic more.
If you want to start learning more before future episodes, watch Fantastic Fungi or How to Change Your Mind (based on the Michael Pollan book), both on Netflix.
AND there is a new text community for this podcast! If you want to speak directly to Kari and Tory, send a hi, emoji, literally anything to 1-619-566-7722. They can’t wait to hear from you!

What has been months in the making reaches its unbelievable conclusion (if it wasn’t so normal). After Tory saw this guest at Dr. Joe Dispenza’s retreat, she knew they would connect on this podcast. And it might be the most important conversation this podcast has had yet.
Dr. Joe describes Monique as one of his super human geniuses - a normal human doing supernatural things. It took multiple cancer diagnoses to bring Monique to this work. Along with the documentary Heal, Monique went on a long journey to learn about the healing ability already inside her. But at first, healing herself seemed harder than sitting through a chemo treatment.
Then a scan showed stage-four metastatic cancer despite rounds of radiation and chemotherapy, Monique knew it was time to try something different. And meditation became her medication.
This is Part 2 of a two-part episode exploring Monique’s journey that she describes as her “mystical experience.” In this episode, Monique goes all in. This is the first time she has shared her full story publicly. So get ready!
Monique teaches why you can’t have a bad meditation and why YOU have to be the most important person in your life. On top of all the goodness in this episode, she also shares how her emotional support cat for her son - missing for 15 months - returned! This conversation will rock you to your core.

This has been months in the making. Tory saw this guest in December when she attended Dr. Joe Dispenza’s retreat in Cancun. After her talk, Tory knew she had to find this incredible superhuman to learn more about healing one’s body (and bank account, and job…).
Dr. Joe describes Monique as one of his super human geniuses - a normal human doing supernatural things. It took multiple cancer diagnoses to bring Monique to this work. Along with the documentary Heal, Monique went on a long journey to learn about the healing ability already inside her.
