SNL alums Bill Hader and Seth Meyers spun a tale about Marvel's favorite web-spinner once upon a time for Kevin Maguire to beautifully illustrate. It's a retro-Halloween review of Spider-Man: The Short Halloween. The serious section is entered as I continue to talk about the controversy surrounding WWE's Crown Jewel event set to take place in Saudi Arabia. The audio is a little clippy towards the end of the segment but we're hoping that improves for next week's episode. To top all the wrestling talk off, I provide an outlook on the highlights and lowlights of WWE Raw and the 1000th episode of Smackdown Live!

So I decided to breakdown that very graphic novel, My Heroes Were Always Junkies from Image Comics. WWE gets graphic this week as well as I pull aways from the stories in the ring to analyze the company putting them out. With WWE Crown Jewel coming up and 8 figure paychecks on the line, I expound on WWE's need to back out in the wake of journalist Jamal Khashoggi alleged murder at the hands of the Saudi Arabian government.

THE RETURN IS HERE! I take time to look at THE WORST of the nWo with a flashback on the least successful incarnations of the group. Responsible for the glory days of WCW, they were also euthanized by WWE in 2002. What lead this group that rode so high to end in narcolepsy. Another narcoleptic event to the outside world is SDCC 2018. San Diego Comic Con was this past weekend and I wax dissapointment with the development of convention culturel. Thankfully a few announcments came out and reminded us mainstream comics have a few tricks up their sleeve. I find 3 announcements that have potential for some excellent new stories.

Extreme Rules 2018 happens on July 15th! Come see my predictions and the reasons behind them. Have I nailed it? Have I totally botched it? For comics, I look at the 2002 return of the refugees from Cybertron in the comics section. Pat Lee's Dreamwave Studios helped ressurected the franchise with plenty of production controversy but did that hinder the creative magic? It's 16 years later and we examine if the magic that was there has faded.
