Friends! It's been another huge week in the neighbourhood.
This week, we're inspired by powerhouse women who don't hold back when it comes to challenging the status quo - and we welcome our second guest to the pod, Greens Senator for NSW Mehreen Faruqi! A politician, engineer, activist, migrant and feminist, Senator Faruqi shares how she holds onto hope in an era of shitty politics and huge challenges (COVID and climate, anyone?) and leaves us inspired and full of renewed hope.
We also talk about our queen, Grace Tame - and a new generation of women who aren't willing to hold back their feelings or 'fake' it for men. What a hero!
** SHOW NOTES **- For more inspiration, pick yourself up a copy of Senator Faruqi's 'part memoir, part manifesto', Too Migrant, Too Muslim, Too Loud
- Follow Senator Faruqi on Facey and the 'gram
- It's Invasion Day Week. January 26 marks a day of mourning for First Nations people across this continent: allies, consider paying the rent to contribute to justice and truth (paytherent.net.au).
'Til next week friends!
