Have you ever looked up and realized you’re going through the motions of your life without actually feeling connected to it?
You’re getting things done.
Showing up for everyone else.
Handling responsibilities.
Keeping everything moving.
But somewhere along the way, you stopped checking in with yourself.
In this episode, we’re talking about survival mode, emotional burnout, feeling disconnected from your own life, and why so many women find themselves living on autopilot without even realizing it.
We’ll explore how stress becomes normal, how we inherit survival patterns from the people around us, and the small ways we can begin coming back to ourselves.
If you’ve been feeling stuck, emotionally exhausted, disconnected, overwhelmed, or like you’re simply surviving instead of living, this conversation is for you.
This is where I’m at.
Becoming, little by little. 🤎
Topics: emotional burnout, survival mode, self-discovery, womanhood, personal growth, identity, healing, motherhood, mental wellness, self-awareness, finding yourself again.

everyone else is moving faster than you?
Like everyone else is glowing, launching,
winning …and you're just trying to
get a breath in?
This episode is for that woman.
Because maybe you're not behind.
Maybe you're becoming.
Maybe you're in the part of the story
where things are being built in you
before they are shown through you.
And maybe the choices nobody sees
getting up again, trying again,
praying again
are the most important ones you're making.
Your life is not late.
Your timeline is not broken.
You are still becoming.
Little by little. 🤎

Have you ever been so focused on waiting
for the big moment that you completely
missed the beauty of the one you're
already in?
This episode is about the small things
that are actually the big things.
Your morning tea. A good laugh. Rest.
A conversation that left you feeling seen.
The ability to breathe and show up today.
We overlook these every single day.
But I'm learning that these quiet ordinary
moments are the ones carrying us through.
This episode also gets honest about:
—Why not everything deserves a discussion
— The power of a quiet no
— Rest as strength not laziness
— What balancing life as a mom of three
actually looks like
Your blessings are not small.
You just have to slow down enough
to see them. 🤎

Welcome to This Is Where I'm At: In Between.
Season 1 has wrapped. Season 2 is coming.
And in between ..we keep showing up.
These are shorter, reflective conversations
about life, womanhood, identity and all the
things we're figuring out in real time.
Today's conversation: Does summer make
anyone else feel behind?
Everyone's travelling. Glowing. Thriving.
And you're sitting there thinking
wait, am I missing something?
But moving and growing are not
always the same thing.
Some seasons are loud.
Some seasons are quiet.
Some seasons are healing.
And healing doesn't always
photograph well.

I genuinely cannot believe we made it to the end of Season 1.
When I started this podcast, I was nervous. I was figuring it out. Honestly? I still am. But maybe that’s the point.
This finale is about everything we’ve been talking about this season: motherhood, identity, protecting your peace, sharing your story, and becoming more of yourself while navigating real life.
Our lives may look different, but the feelings behind them often aren’t.
Thank you for listening, commenting, sharing, and growing with me.
Season 2 is coming… and I already know those conversations are going to be special.

💬 What was one moment or episode from Season 1 that stayed with you?
In this In Between conversation, we’re talking about comparison, pressure, and what happens when we start carrying expectations that were never ours in the first place.
How many of us are chasing timelines, lives, or versions of success that don’t actually belong to us?
Sometimes exhaustion isn’t because we’re falling behind. Sometimes it’s because we’re running a race that was never designed for us.
This is a reminder to pause, come back to yourself, and stop measuring your life against everyone else’s highlight reel.

Why do we say “women support women” and then spend the rest of the year competing, comparing, and tearing each other down?
In this episode Alyshia gets honest about where the competition between women actually comes from. From the modeling industry in New York, London and Denmark where there was literally only one spot for a Black woman in the room to our friendships, our workplaces, and our social media feeds. The programming runs deep. But it was never ours to carry.
We talk about the jokes that aren’t really jokes. The backhanded compliments. The friend who couldn’t celebrate you. And what real sisterhood actually looks like when we finally choose it over competition.
This is not a “women are the worst” episode. This is a “we deserve so much better than what we were taught” conversation.
Have you ever grown really grown and suddenly
felt out of place in friendships that used to feel
like home?
When awareness changes you, it changes everything.
Including who you feel safe around.
In this episode I'm getting honest about what
happens to your friendships when you start doing
the work on yourself. The distance. The guilt.
The quiet grief of outgrowing people you love.
This is not about cutting people off.
This is about understanding why the dynamic shifts
and what to do with that awareness.
