Katherine Nagy Love's Nickelback! There I said it! Thanks for tuning in folks we'll talk to you next time! Tip your waitress!! Try the veal!!
Of course I'm just kidding but, I feel like that is a bit of a mic drop moment for me!! We could have talked about nothing else but that and I know I would have a friend for life!
Fortunately for the Nickelback haters and those who came to hear more than that, you get to hear us connect about topics such as working from home and following our passions. Setting an example for our children and preparing them for a possible change in the world going forward. Yet another cohort member of the Six-Figure songwriting workshop, Katherine and I have now formed a connection that just might allow me to cross something pretty cool off of my bucket list!
James Walsh and I have a song in the works called Clouds in the Sky!! He is yet another member of the Six-Figure Songwriting course I just graduated from!! He wrote the lyrics about a trip he took to the Mexican border along the coast. Someplace I have always wanted to visit, and will visit one day!! The lyrics take you on a trip through winding roads and canyons and it feels like you are really there!! He sent them my way and he left it in my hands to come up with a song arrangement. One of my youngest niece's absolutely loves it and asks me to play it for her every time I have my guitar with me.
James has a story I can only hope to be able compare my own story to one day. He has worked with some of the coolest musicians of the past few decades! He and his wife Keri have a band called Bristol Kids! I have posted the links to their website, social media and Soundcloud pages below.
Please enjoy my connection with James!! I certainly did!!

Michael Averill is another mentor I met in the 6 Figure songwriting cohort. He's a man of many talents and one of those is encouraging people to find a topic for a song in the most unexpected of places. He hosted a 5-week songwriting workshop aside from the cohort that I just graduated from last Thursday!!. It is where I met Cinder Ernst and Ginine Mizerski. My first two guests on this podcast! Needless to say our paths crossing has proven to be rather fruitful.
Without further delay, here is Michael Averill.
Mr. Phelps, Nick Phelps, my mentor, my friend. Whatever name you give this man he is a cool dude through and through and I am so happy to have this opportunity to chat with him. I'm learning more and more every day that just because you don't know somebody, it doesn't mean you won't have more in common than you thought. Without further ado, here is yet another amazing spiritual connection with somebody I have been looking forward to connecting with!!

Last week I met with Charisse Arrington and we hit it off immediately! She is just the person I needed to connect with and what better person to have on your team than a life coach!? She and I talked about so much more and I just know you are going to love the rest of our spiritual connection.
Charisse Arrington is a Beautiful Soul!! I first heard her speak during a not so standard curriculum class for the Six-Figure Songwriting course the same week the music industry performed a blackout in support of Black Lives Matter.
When she began to talk, she brought us all together in a time where some of us felt we were so far apart. There wasn't a dry eye in the Zoom call! I had to reach out to her as soon as she was done talking because there is so much I don't know about black history and it is about time I learned.
