In this episode I analyze "The Integration of Theory and Practice: A Program for the New Traditionalist Movement" by Eric Heubeck, a "lost" essay written by the protege of a man some called the "Lenin of social conservatism", written in 2001 and seemingly wiped from the internet in 2006.

I managed to track down a copy and analyze it to better understand the"New Traditionalist" strategy for theological revolution in the U.S..

I also compare three strategies seemingly taken from Marxist theory, that have been utilized successfully by the American Christian Right:

1. The Vanguard Party

2. Dual Power

3. The War of Position

In the first of our several part series on the reactionary force of American Evangelical Christianity, I take a look at Kristin Kobes Du Mez's book, Jesus and John Wayne: How White Evangelicals Corrupted a Faith and Fractured a Nation.

We trace the development of Fundamentalist Protestantism into Modernist and Fundamentalist movements that evolved, coalesced, and diverged throughout WWI, WWII, and leading into the Cold War.

Using Du Mez's fantastic work, I analyze how nationalism, patriarchy, capitalism, and white supremacy played important roles in this movement's early years, and how it continues to guide it into 2021.

In this episode I take a look at the interesting situation evolving around the GME (GameStop) stock and the role of internet communities like /r/wallstreetbets and major Hedge Funds like Melvin Capital and Citadel.

Small investors are driving a surge in GME share value, hitting many bourgeoisie investor groups right where it hurts, but is the story as simple as that? Some guy did save his dog though, which is a win in my books either way.

Why may you ask?

So Western intelligence agencies could use them against the Soviet Union of course!

2. Wanted!: The Search for Nazis in America - Howard Blum

3. The Belarus Secret - John Loftus 

I examine in detail how the Ukrainian 14th Waffen SS Division, the Iron Guard, the Ustashi, and the Belarus SS Brigade survived Soviet punishment thanks to Western intelligence support, funding, and protection.

In this episode I read and analyze Stalin's Dialectical and Historical Materialism.  

This work builds upon the discussion on Dialectical Materialism (D.M because I'm lazy) we had in Episode 8, ol' Joe does a good job presenting the ideas clearly, and using quotes from Marx, Engels, and Lenin to illustrate the core concepts of D.M.

I've heard this is a great book to better grasp D.M as an analytical lens, especially for newcomers to the concept. It's very straightforward, the explanations use plain language, in fact Stalin actually provides his own notes in parenthesis to clarify certain obscure references and words.

Further, the second half presents the application of D.M to society and the history of mankind, dubbed Historical Materialism. This is a very important concept and I think the writing and discussion breaks it down into easily understandable chunks. Usefully points out key points our research should focus on to understand the developmental forces of history.

In an effort to contribute to the spooky vibes, I tell ghost stories, fables, and myths from several (kind of) socialist countries from around the world. I say "kind of" because one is ancient China and the other is feudal Russia, neither of which were socialist societies, but would transform into ones in the future.

I explore Chapter 5 of Lenin's The State and Revolution after a very late night of discussing this very work with an Anarchist friend.

Yes, this is my round-about apology for my dry mouth in the first half of this episode...

Besides that small auditory nuisance, this chapter is fantastic, full of direct explanations of Marx, Engels, and Lenin's views on the "early stages/phases of communism" and the "higher stages of communism", the transition between socialism and communism, and the role and reasoning on the Dictatorship of the Proletariat.
