Janette is an ordained elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church and currently serves as an associate minister at Allen Chapel AME Church in Omaha, Nebraska.  As a prior military family, Janette and her husband of forty-eight years, both native North Carolinians, traveled extensively to numerous faraway places as Germany, France, England, and Greece. The Jones’ are the proud parents of two adult sons and one daughter with three grandkids. 

As an accomplished playwright, director and producer Janette’s first stage production titled Sistah Girl debuted in 2002. The stage production received rave reviews that led to its eagerly awaited presentation for two years afterward. Its follow up, Sistah Girl Revisited debuted in 2005. Then as a tribute to a beloved deceased cast member, Sistah Girl Now & Again was produced in 2008 at the Witherspoon Concert Hall (Joslyn Art Museum).

Cloudy Witness/Blessedly Assured was birthed in 2012 with its long-awaited sequel Finding A Happy Medium followed in 2018. Any questions lacking answers in Cloudy Witness are skillfully remedied well beyond speculation in this rewarding sequel. 

Janette was a featured personality in the Emmy Award-winning 2009 documentary, ‘An Inaugural Ride to Freedom: The Legacy of a People, a Movement, and a Mission,’ an Omowale Akintunde film. The documentary was a depiction of a cross-country bus trip made by college students, and members of the Omaha community to the inauguration of then President Barak Obama.   Still, later in 2010, Janette was later cast in Omawale’s 2010 film ‘Wigger’ featuring Anna Marie Horsford, and Meshach Taylor.

Janette’s love for floral designing as well as event planning culminated into a home based designing business. Make My Day Floral Creations/Event Planner founded over twenty some years ago with event planning, fashion show production, floral designing becoming yet another major part of a highly acclaimed repertoire. Angela Fortnum was born in the market town of Banbury, Oxfordshire, England where she attended school.  She fulfilled her desire to work in a bank in Banbury before transferring to a department in Birmingham, England.  Taking early retirement in 1998 she returned to the family home in Banbury.  By way of a complete change she took a course in health and social care for which she was awarded a certificate by Open University.  Having had time off she then began to research both her maternal and paternal ancestors.  After her mother's death she decided to share a share tribute to her mother by writing "Pages and Leaflets of North Oxforshire".

Debra Lowry loved to read from a very early age. She read all of the "Nancy Drew Mysteries,'' as well as just about any book she could get her hands on! She grew up in Davenport, Iowa.

She attended The University of Iowa, where she majored in journalism and she was the homecoming queen. She later moved to Miami, Florida and worked on the Miami Herald Newspaper for two years.

In 2008 Debra wrote a column for the 'Pineapple Post Newspaper' in Jensen Beach, Florida. She did a lot of human interest stories, interviews with local people and some investigative articles.

She was a single mother for many years and raised an outstanding son, Chris Lowry, who went on to join the Army and went to Iraq three times during the years of 2003-2009. It was very harrowing for her and her son but fortunately he came home safely, and is now the father of three delightful children, two girls, ages 4 and 6, and a boy, age 8. Chris is an excellent, devoted father who now lives in Phoenix, Arizona.

Debra has suffered with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for many years but has learned to live with and around it. Writing is one of the most important joys and therapies for her. Debra moved to Pt. St. Lucie, Florida and has lived there for 13 years. She loves animals and has several "rescue" animals living at her home!
