Now, Valerie is introducing Santiago of the Seas, Nickelodeon’s brand-new swashbuckling animated adventure series, to a new generation of preschoolers. a new publishing company Stratton Press he has written, “The Gifted One,” an Sci Fi traveling, mystery,
and murder. He’s just finished, “Gotch’em”: Johnny Taggett, a tough guy detective. In a couple of
months will finish, “Usurper,” inspired from a true story about a young man in 1890’s who’s selling land
out in California, decides to become a priest to make a lot of money. Taking the priest name, he goes to
Denver, Colorado and becomes that priests, with no training. By the end of 2020 William will be coming
out with a sequel too, “Gotch’em,” called, “The killing Sound:” Johnny Taggett. William is still
dabbling in the movie business, looking for his next one. He’s been in a dozen movies, maybe not the
leading roles but he enjoys the challenge. He’s an associate producer, and an actor in “Encarnatus

THE SOCK PRINCESS written and illustrated by Julie Thorpe

With appealing illustrations and text, this story resonates with so many families. Turns out, there actually may be a “sock princess - or prince, somewhere near you. The main character is a preschool age girl, but it turns out she could be 3 or 23, or 43, or 63! Emily likes her socks to be just right, no uncomfortable lumps, bumps or seams. The idea for the title comes from the fairytale, “The Princess and the Pea”, but this “sock princess” lives with a modern-day family just trying to get on with their day. Written in rhyming verse, the story has a repetitive chorus that children catch onto quickly. Parents enjoy reading it as much as children like the book.

As a mother of three and an educational associate, Julie Thorpe has experienced more than a few sock princesses, and even princes. In fact, there are even some adults who can relate to the importance of getting their socks right! She has written poems and stories all her life for the enjoyment of herself and family, but the story of the sock princess is too universal not to share!

MIND, PAIN, FEELING, HEALING by Lois Lund

The contents of this book are to help identify and smooth out some rough trails in our lives if we have a chemical imbalance or emotional problems. I write because I want to help, particularly military veteran, because I am veteran. There are programs for veterans and also civilians who have mental or emotional problems. It is good that some patients find out early in age. I was rebelling against the problem I had, and it was hard for me to accept. I have had social workers and nurses help me.

There were times when I felt like a victim, but I didnt know why I felt so awful. It was a thirty-year search for the correct medicine for me. At least I wasnt so alone. I wanted to be in the service, and that was where I was diagnosed as bipolar. Then the help began.

In my bibliography are three sources of literature that I have listed. I have read several other books too.

I hope by reading this book someone else will find help like I have. How your help comes is with reading this book. We all need to find our truth to heal.

I was bipolar all my life. I came from a very busy family. My niche was to keep busy in sports and music. My mother helped me go to college. I made good grades in school. She really helped me get a good education. She was a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse many years ago. She taught me by taking me to church, and I picked up correct grammar. She was very busy, all five of kids were busy, and my dad was busy working. I have strong faith in my genes. I was blessed with God-believing parents on both sides of my family. I am so thankful for that. It seemed to me that I shouldn't have a problem.

But at eighteen, I became very depressed. I struggled through my early twenties with unhappiness. It actually was a chronic depression. I had to be treated and was diagnosed bipolar. It was so true, but I tried to fight it. To no avail. I learned to take my pills. And I thank Uncle Sam and the veterans for bringing me the right pills. There is no shame in that. Especially nowadays when almost everyone is taking medicine. I'm very sorry for those who use harmful drugs that damage their brains. Someday I'll have a new brain and I'll be very happy when I go to glory. -

BROKEN HEARTS...MENDED by Don Stackpole

Every generation has felt the sting of parental alcohol abuse. Our numbers are staggeringly high. Only God can possibly know to what extent lives have been changed for the worse by the scourge that alcohol has become. Anyone who has ever lived in the shadow of a drunkard knows the hurt and humiliation that comes with having done so. At first glance, it would appear that this sin against children is virtually unforgivable. There simply is no excuse for a parent to deal out this kind of grief to those they are charged by God to protect and love. Children of drunkards ultimately become adult children of drunkards. While they have moved on chronologically from their childhood, they still remember the pain. They still have the occasional flashback that will return them to a time of inexplicable feelings of betrayal and even abandonment.

But there is hope. That hope is found in the biblical precept of forgiveness. The author shares his life experiences that have delivered him from an early adulthood engulfed by sorrow and regret to a time when forgiveness was granted--when it hadn't ever been sought. The same equation can be applied to any and all victims of having lived for many years in the belly of the beast.

About the Author
Don was raised in Mill Valley, California. He attended Mississippi State University in the early 70s. Upon moving back to California, he drove a delivery truck for RC Cola for three years and then for a major been company for the final three years of the 70s.

In 1979, he received the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior. One year after that, God called him to preach. He attended and graduated from Pacific Coast Baptist Bible College (now Heartland Baptist Bible College).

In 1991, he moved with his family to the Jicarilla Apache reservation in Dulce, NM where he was the pastor of Good News Baptist Church and principal of Good News Christian Academy for six years. In 2001, he accepted the call to be the pastor at Aztec Baptist Church in Aztec. NM where he served for ten years. His last pastorate occurred in Williston, ND where he assumed the leadership at Calvary Baptist Church on an interim basis for one year.

Along with his wife, the moved to Las Cruces, NM and have been there for three years. They have four children and seven grandchildren and enjoy serving the Lord Jesus in the church where they are members in southern New Mexico.
