DACA and Executive Order
In a 5-to-4 decision (https://www.washingtonpost.com/context/read-supreme-court-s-daca-ruling/35b6a295-978e-41d6-84be-3124628a3652/?itid=lk_inline_manual_3) , the Supreme Court has denied the Department of Homeland Security’s attempt to rescind the Deferred Action for childhood arrivals program, allowing for dreamers to remain in the country without threat of deportation.
On June 22nd, President Trump signed a proclamation that suspends the entry of aliens who “present a risk to the U.S. labor market” following the Coronavirus outbreak. This is an action that the white house perceives will protect American jobs.
