Alderman Corey Payne is running for his 5th term on the Common Council against challenger Rico Camacho. He is the son of 2nd District Alderman Eric Payne, and they are the first Father-Son Aldermanic duo in the City’s rich history. Corey serves on the Buildings & Grounds, and Cemetery Committees.
Allison has taught drama since 2003, with a long tour of duty in the Manitowoc School District and more recently, at Waukesha South. She is the proud winner of the 2023 Kohl Teacher Leader Award and is even prouder of the new production from the Blackshirt Players – Mean Girls, showing at South High School on February 20th – 23rd.
Brian is from North’s Class of 1979, the second class to complete all 4 years since North opened in 1975. Brian is a member of the 50th Anniversary Planning Committee, along with the two Voits, and is NorthStar nation through and through. His children graduated from North, his grandson is a freshman there, and Brian enjoys his retirement by working part-time as a Hall Assistant at his beloved alma mater.

It’s a very busy Saturday and weekend as Don discusses the Waukesha South Marching Band’s annual Cookie Walk taking place on this Saturday. Band Booster VP Kristy Witt calls in to share the details. Don also promoted the Food Drive taking place this weekend in honor of high school senior Brady Caproon who died tragically last fall, and Alderman Mike Chrisien and La Casa’s Maria Wadina share their excitement for the 62nd Annual Christmas Parade taking place next day (Sunday).
Don takes the show to the new Sweet Dreams restaurant on 322 W. Broadway in downtown Waukesha to celebrate Small Business Saturday with Sweet Dreams owner Henry Krichko and Janey from the block. On this show Henry introduces the launch of their delicious new dessert – THE DOUGH BOY!
Interim Dean Ron Gulotta is joined by Ann Mitchell Moore, an alumnus and current faculty member, and Margaret Millspaw, another alumnus and former faculty member who now works at Madison College, and they are promoting “Corby’s Last Roar.” Scheduled for Thursday, May 22, 2025, this festive event looks to gather students, alumni, faculty and the rest of the community to celebrate UWM at Waukesha’s 58-year history before it closes for good in July 2025.
