Invisible Wall Productions has announced that The View UpStairs – the provocative new musical written by Max Vernon and directed by Scott Ebersold – will launch an Off-Broadway run at Culture Project – The Lynn Redgrave (45 Bleecker Street). Choreography is by Al Blackstone with James Dobinson serving as Music Supervisor and Orchestrator. Previews begin on Wednesday, February 15, opening night is Tuesday, February 28 and the production runs through Sunday, May 21.

“Alexander Hamilton: From Caribbean Obscurity to Broadway Sensation”

Alexander Hamilton’s unlikely journey has received new life thanks to Broadway. On February 9th, students from the University of Oklahoma’s award-winning Musical Theatre program will perform a few numbers from the hit musical. To follow, Broadway theatre critic Peter Filichia, OU theatre faculty Shawn Churchman, and Hamilton biographer Andrew Porwancher will host a moderated discussion.
This event is part of the OU Humanities Forum 2016-2017 theme “Outcasts and Outlands.” The reception begins at 6 p.m., with the performance to follow at 7 p.m. in the Weitzenhoffer Theatre. This event is free and open to the public.
