(May 30, 2024) Forecast looking pleasant for the weekend. Most water temps in mid 60s. East River Trail closed for maintenance Tues and Weds.

(May 24, 2024) Rivers and streams well below normal. Most water temps in mid-60s. Expect muddy trails and some ice in high peaks.

(May 17, 2024) Some snow and ice remaining at highest elevations. Docks installed at nearly all boat launches. Popular areas will be busy this weekend.

(May 10, 2024) Possibility of seeing the Northern Lights. Muddy trail conditions. More seasonal roads open.

(May 3, 2024) Rainy weather through the weekend. Gates have opened on most seasonal roads, including Clear Pond at Elk Lake. Most docks now installed at boat launches.

(Apr 26, 2024) Skiing done for the season. Rivers and streams below normal. Expect muddy conditions on hiking trails.

(Apr 19, 2024) Gore Mountain open for one last weekend. Whitewater rafting season has begun. Bear canisters now required in High Peaks.

(Apr 12, 2024) Hikers should avoid trails with difficult water crossings. Winter conditions in the mountains.

(Apr 5, 2024) Central and Southern ADKs saw the most snow accumulation. Skis or snowshoes are needed in the mountains. Watch for rising rivers and streams.
