This Week's Heathcliff

Dave talks about as much of it as he can.

It all seems to have something to do with the comic from Wednesday, May 16th, which you can read here:

As always, you can email Dave your thoughts about whatever you like at [email protected].

This week, Dave is joined by his favorite person in the world, his wife, Kelly Buttermore, for a freewheeling discussion of family, marriage, and the Heathcliff cartoon from Tuesday, May 8th:

Kelly is an amazing performer and producer of comedy. She's one half of the improv duo From Justin to Kelly. Check out their work at http://www.fromjustintokelly.org/

She also runs Countdown Theater, the only pop-up comedy theater in the world, and you should definitely learn more about that by going here:

As always, if you have any questions or feedback, please email Dave at [email protected]

Finally, here's the awesome Detroit garage rock band The Dirtbombs covering Stevie Wonder's Livin' For the City:

On this week's episode, Dave is joined by Eileen Murphy, an amazingly talented artist and all around great person. They discuss the difference between landscape and scenic painting, the strangeness of the suburbs, and one of the more puzzling panels of Heathcliff either of them has ever seen, which you can check out here:

You can (and should) see Eileen's work on her instagram:

This week, Dave is joined by his very good friend Morgan Pielli for a special live taping!

Morgan is a massively talented cartoonist and storyteller with a Masters in comics. He draws for The Nib, check it out here:

He's also the co-host of Relationshit, at QED in Astoria on the second Friday of every month. It's a wonderful show, highly recommended! Tickets for the next one can be found here:

Countdown Theater was kind enough to host this live taping. Countdown is a roaming, improv-focused pop-up arts space based in New York City, founded by Kelly Buttermore and Justin Peters. You simply must know more about them:
