Our second guest is Lily DeTaey who was also our last giveaway winner! She is a Des Moines native singer/songwriter, a dog mom and a book lover who has recently braved the shave after dealing with hair loss her whole life. She takes us through what life on the stage as an alopecian is like and has lots of great advice to give anyone new to braving the shave and rocking their bald or balding heads!

Our first guest on our second season guest series is Jess P or you might know her as half bald fully free on Instagram! She was diagnosed with AA when she was a little girl and has been passionate about spreading awareness specifically representing the half bald community, which is very much needed. She talks about going to school with hair loss, the lack of research there is surronding the possible connect of allergies and alopecia, and had great advice to share.

This year has had many tough moments for the hair loss community. We thought it was important to discuss the Jada Pinkett and Chris Rock Oscar incident further. We've had time to reflect on it more in the 9 months since it's happened. We also wanted to remember and talk a bit about sweet Rio and the importance of communities coming together in a time of hardship. Lastly, we recap our personal lives of 2022 to close out this year for Those Bald Chicks.

On this episode we are joined by Allison who is the creator of the wig brand Encelia. She takes us through her hair loss journey, as well as her wig journey in trying to find the best solution for an active wig. She has great advice, and also a great outlook and education on wigs. Her mission is to help the hair loss community comfortably and confidently live their best lives without needing to worry about their wigs or hair loss. Not to mention she is an all around amazing human being!
