In today's Streams in the Wasteland episode, we address the believer facing loss, tragedy, confusion, or sorrow. We clearly specify our spiritual job in this moment of crisis, leveraging the hope, comfort, and promise found in Psalm 34:7: "The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them."

Joe and co-host John discuss the latest Kendrick Brothers movie, The Forge (released August 2024). We unpack the film's primary theme of Christian discipleship, including the significant and ongoing investment of time required to train a believer in the Lord's ways. We address forgiveness (a major sub-theme of the film), the importance of momentum in our walk with the Lord, and how to speak honestly with God when our emotions are high. We also address whether the film's ending is "too perfect." Join us for this wide-ranging discussion on the rich and edifying content of another Kendrick Brothers hit.

In this first-ever Those Few podcast episode, Joe—speaking for many believers—confesses his negligence in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Joe and Pastor Mark McClelland discuss the Biblical basis for evangelism, whether evangelism is a gift or role, and the common responsibility and urgency for sharing the Good News. We also address the proportion of believers who share the Gospel, ways of sharing our faith, and what fundamentally happens when a person acknowledges Christ.
