Those Were The Days

This week, we're kicking off "This was for kids?!" month with Audie Norman! He's bringing us the classic, Jim Henson's The Storyteller. Centered around a cozy fire and the sweet vocal stylings of John Hurt, this show brought fairy tales to life in the way only Jim Henson can. Featuring incredible camera work, mixed art styles, and, of course, his unique brand of puppetry and humor, this show was a standout for children. But was it really for children?. Find out today on Those Were The Days!

Next week, watch Salute Your Shorts - S1E2 - Ghost Story. Streaming on Paramount+

Do you remember The California Raisins? We sure did. Enjoy!\

We're continuing our journey through classic Christmas TV this week with Garfield! Everyone's favorite, lovable, grouchy cat is back with his own take on Christmas and what it means. This show had so much humor and so much heart packed into a tight 22 minutes. Garfield is a national treasure and such a treat to watch during the Holiday season.

Next week, we're finishing things out with the christmas classic, Claymation Christmas Special! This one is on Daily Motion at this link

In the 1970s, the world was introduced to our favorite alien and an absolute cultural icon. Robin Williams starred as the simple and hilarious Mork from Ork in the classic sitcom, Mork & Mindy. Balancing out Robin Williams absolute chaos was the amazing Pam Dawber as Mindy. Mork brought the shenanigans while Mindy balanced everything out. Did we like the show? Is Robin Williams still our favorite alien? Find out!

Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street? Of course we can! Not only did we go to this mythical neighborhood, but we went on Christmas Eve where we shared the joy of Christmas with all of our friends. Audie brought us this gem from 1978 and boy are we glad he did. Does Sesame Street hold up even as you approach your 40s? Maybe! Let's find out!

Next week, Stephen is bringing us Mork & Mindy - S1E12 - Streaming on PlutoTV

Travis leads us this week, taking us back to yet another cartoon created to sell toys. The 80s was a wild time, man. If you were a kid during that time, there was a pretty good chance that you got your hands on at least one M.A.S.K. toy, but maybe less of a chance that you actually watched this old cartoon. If you didn't, now is your chance!

Next week, we're kicking off the TV Specials season for the holidays in the best way. Audie is bringing us Christmas Eve on Sesame Street! Available to rent/buy on most services or stream on YouTube.

This week, Amy takes us to the 80s with She-Ra: Princess of Power! The answer to the boy-centric He-Man. She-Ra was a hero that definitely tried to set itself apart with a female protagonist that was just as strong and mighty as He-Man. I suppose they also wanted to sell more toys, but either way this show has stood the test of time. There was even a Netflix reboot recently. Did we like it? Stick around to find out!

This week, we cover one of the most memorable cartoons ever made. Or at least one with the catchiest, most memorable theme song. We go straight to Duckberg to talk all about Duck Tales! Uncle Scrooge, his three nephews, and a cast of other ducks all go on wacky adventures through this show and bring with them some wonderful moments. Duck Tales was a hurricane when it came barreling into our homes back in the late 80s and its legacy lives on. Is it still any good? Find out with us!

We're kicking off 80s cartoon month with a wild one that I don't think a lot of people even remember. Mostly because we've asked and there's a good portion of ya'll who had no idea what we were talking about. Until, of course, we watched it. This is one of those shows that hides itself deep in your memories and can only be recalled once you see it again. Lots of kids remember this from the Nick Jr days as it was part of the daytime lineup that happened before some of the older kid shows would come on. It was also part of a wave of cartoons imported in and redubbed for American audiences. Learn more about this show today on Those Were The Days!

Greetings, TV Friends! This week we tackled the TGIF juggernaut that was Boy Meets World. The somewhat modernized and far less dramatic version of The Wonder Years, starring Fred Savage's younger brother Ben Savage. This show covered all kinds of essential topics mandated by coming-of-age tales of boyhood including girls! Girls! And more girls? Yeah, there was a lot of that. But among that was a lot of heart and some pretty intense lessons were learned along the way. Did you enjoy it! Let us know!

Next week, we're kicking off 80s cartoons with a wild one! Audie wants you to watch Noozles - S1E15 streaming on Youtube
