  • Ep. 31: What's at Stake when SCOTUS Hears an Historic Right to Carry Case
The Supreme Court recently decided it would hear New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Keith Corlett, a case involving state limitations on an individual's right to carry a firearm. Second Amendment supporters and gun control advocates will be closely watching this case as it develops.

The decision will have great impact on the future of the 2A Rights vs. Gun Control Agenda legislative battles on the heels of President Joe #Bidens's arguably over-reaching executive orders aimed at the right to carry.

Lt. Col. (Ret) Tony Shaffer and Lt. Col. (British Army, Ret.) Tim Wilson discuss the importance of the case, its residual effects and what it means for the future of Constitutional Rights protections as well as infringements.

  • Ep 30: The Future of Energy and the Right to Self-Defense with Sergio de la Pena
Are wind turbines and other so-called "green energy" sources really the wave of the future? As western governments search for alternatives to fossil fuels, has politics blinded sense? Perhaps it's time to revisit nuclear energy as a viable and reliable option as opposed to inefficient Green New Deal-type energy policies.

Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Western Hemisphere Affairs and Virginia Gubernatorial Candidate Sergio de la Pena talks with London Center for Policy Research President Lt. Col. (Ret) Tony Shaffer about why the US and and world need to look toward nuclear power as the clean alternative to oil and gas.

Tony and de la Pena also discuss the future of the right to self-defense as the Supreme Court will soon hear a case concerning freedom to carry and states' limits to the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution.

  • Ep 29: Why Protecting Our Grid from an EMP or CME Event Must Be a National Priority
While President Biden's infrastructure plan includes necessary transportation and highway upgrades, it has been criticized as a pork-ridden socialist's dream. One very important omission which is not talked about is the lack of protection of our national grid from an EMP attack or a CME event, which should be a high priority.

On this week's Thought to Action, London Center for Policy Research President Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer and Ambassador Hank Cooper discuss why resources need to be allocated to the grid's protection and how to go about it. Ambassador Cooper is working on a series of research articles involved with preparation for and preservation of the nation's power grid from enemy electromagnetic pulse attacks or another CME event (similar to the Carrington Event)

  • Ep 28: #Biden's Executive Orders and Fighting the Left's Latest Assault on the 2nd Amendment with Alan Gottlieb
President Biden announced an ambitions gun control agenda at the Rose Garden recently via executive orders. Proclaiming "No amendment is absolute," he touted the dismantling of 2nd amendment rights to a friendly, yet small, crowd.

What are Biden and the Anti-2A lobby's next moves and how do we fight them? London Center for Policy Research Fellow Tim Furey and 2nd Amendment Foundation Founder Alan Gottlieb break down Biden's orders, his nomination of David Chipman to run the ATF, potential plans to implement anti-firearms ownership laws and what we can do to fight back.

Gottlieb's 2nd Amendment Foundation has also announced it is ready to sue the Biden Administration over the unconstitutional executive orders if the need presents itself.

  • Ep 27: Fighting False Narratives From Anti-Gun Politicians After Mass Shooting Tragedies
It seems every time a mass shooting happens in the U.S., anti-gun factions of the media and Washington pounce to push an agenda through the usual false narratives. Whether it be through false racism allegations, re-framing of stories about shootings or orchestrated emotional appeals, it all comes down to anti-gun politicians' appetite for infringing on Constitutional Rights.

On March 24, 2021, the 9th District Circuit Court ruled Americans do not have the right to carry a gun in public (clearly circumventing the 2nd Amendment) amid coordinated narrative framing of recent shootings in Atlanta, GA and Boulder, CO.

ON this special edition of Thought to Action, London Center for Policy Research President Lt. Col. (Ret) Tony Shaffer and Distinguished Fellow Navy Capt. (Ret) Pete O'Brien delve into what's behind the systematic watering-down of Constitutional Rights, the narratives of the Anti-Gun Agenda and why the manipulation of information is imperative to their cause.

  • Ep. 26: How to Fight Cancel Culture's War on Objective Truth
Cancel Culture, a longtime subject of ridicule, has engulfed a large number of Americans and Western Europeans to the point where this nation has become divided amid an ideological Civil War. Although a relatively small minority of people are "involved" in the cancelling mayhem, it is a very loud section of the constant Twitter and social Media users. If the Cancel Calls are loud enough, too many companies, politicians and well-meaning individuals wind up bowing to the mob's superficial arguments. When that happens, critical thought and objective truth becomes lost among the rantings of a manipulated mob.

How do we fight this while the Left controls most media outlets and academia, where critical thinking has been eschewed in favor of indoctrination and taking money from impressionable young people while saddling them with debt many can not pay off?

London Center for Policy Research President Lt. Col. (Ret) Tony Shaffer and New York Young Republican Club President/LCPR Fellow Gavin Wax break down what has caused critical thought to become a dying art and objective truths to be cast aside by "feelings" on this week's Thought to Action

  • Ep 23 -1He Was Wrongfully Prosecuted during the S & L Scandal and Held Powerful Bankers Accountable
You may not know who John Smith is, but what happened to him could happen to you. John was a banker in Texas who was caught up in the notorious Savings and Loan Scandal of the late 80s. He was falsely accused, prosecuted and convicted for crimes he did not commit. Still, when he was found not guilty of any of the crimes he was charged with, Smith could have tipped his hat and waved and left the scene. Instead, he stood up and confronted the people who landed him in trouble and became a prime witness in the cases against the true perpetrators, who were extremely powerful banking leaders.

When others would have walked away, he stood up. Smith, who earned a presidential pardon, tells his story in his book, EMBRACING THE ABYSS, and talks with host Lt. Col. (Ret) Tony Shaffer on Thought to Action.

Lt. Col. Shaffer is not stranger to fighting battles against the powerful and being wrongly prosecuted. Shaffer and Smith discuss integrity and the importance of holding governments and powerful institutions accountable.

John Smith tells his story as a CPA insider who was not part of the conspiracy and fraud, but nevertheless included in the government’s $540 million dollar lawsuit as well as multiple criminal charges filed against the S&L’s top officers. During the onslaught of legal actions, John came to realize the extent of wrongdoing that had occurred, learning that he too had been one of the many deceived by the Chairman and the CEO.

  • Ep. 22: The Systematic Suppression of Information
After the Time Magazine article where a leftist writer celebrated the massive manipulation of the 2020 Presidential Election was posted, calls to protect election integrity have rightfully increased. Still, how were the "well funded cabal" able to team up with traditional and digital media moguls to suppress discussion, information and execute a bombastic misinformation campaign and get away with it?

London Center for Policy Research President Lt. Col. (Ret.) Tony Shaffer and LCPR Distinguished Fellow Bryan Griffin dig deep into the execution of and intentions behind the actions of those who are claimed to have "fortified" the election and the dangers of allowing such powers to continue their manipulation of ideas and facts in the years to come. How do we solve this problem and how will we be able to establish election integrity as a national priority? Tony and Bryan look for answers.
