Thoughts from Player One

Join us this week as we play through the 1995 surreal horror game "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream" based on the short story of the same name by Harlan Ellison. The short story is only about 12 pages so feel free to read or listen to it before this episode. Talking points this time include: The Brooklyn devil, a great soft jelly thing, Jesus I'm hungry, supercomputer emotions, stories in different mediums, and actual castles that I guess represent paranoia.

This episode wasn't as choice as our usual bits but we are dedicated to providing our genuine feelings on EVERY SINGLE LEVEL! I recommend skipping to 21:30 for the good part of it all.  Topics include a headache inducing planetary treasure hunt, more lyrical analysis, and GHOSTS! Halloween am I right?

Join us for the fourth episode of our series on Big Bad Wolf's The Council. This time we follow Louis as he learns pretty much everything the game was holding back from us.  Feel free to jump right in, knowing what was happening before barely matters with this big reveal!

Join us again as we dive into the newest installment in the Life is Strange franchise, Life is Strange 2 Episode 1: Roads! We discuss DONTNOD's newest story about teens as well as politics in games, storytelling tropes, good Life is Strange dad's, and the importance of non-white characters in this new series.

This week we compiled some of our favorite moments from the series episode 1-10, it's honestly a romp and a great entry point into our ridiculous series where we play two levels of Sonic Adventure Battle 2 every episode.  Next week we will be on that Life is Strange 2 train! Choo-choo!

We get back to our story summary roots and give you a tight 3 minutes synopsis of the game before discussing topics including: "Gotcha" stories, narrative linking, and the importance of memory. We also workshop a new closer and bring a narrative through-line to all of our previous and future episodes.

This episode is 100% on time and being posted very shortly after recording. There were some audio issues with various microphones but they will be fixed in future recordings. But that all aside this marks the first of our asymmetrical and very exciting series of episodes on NieR: Automata. In this first installment we discuss the entire first run of the game.
