In this episode, Dan and Chad begin a new conversation around the issue of being set free and STAYING FREE by learning to resist the ways the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy.
"When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, 'I will return to the house I left.' [25] When it arrives, it finds the house swept clean and put in order. [26] Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first."
There is just no mistaking it, the enemy is relentless and wants to continue to sow seeds of doubt, darkness, discouragement and the like.
2 Corinthians 2:10-11 NIV
Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven-if there was anything to forgive-I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, [11] in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.
We must learn to, like Paul goes over:
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. [4] The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. [5] We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
We must learn to take EVERY THOUGHT captive in order to stay in step with the Holy Spirit and experiencing ongoing freedom in Jesus.
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
We need God’s help with ALL four phases of the freedom and fullness Jesus came to give us. Forgiveness of sin, cleansing of our nature, healing of our bodies and deliverance from mental bondage.
