This episode is Part TWO in a TWO-part series. The final chapter of a case began by exploring what happened on July 30, 1999. It started with a house fire in McMinnville, Tennessee (Warren County), which drew first responders to a scene that quickly became something far more disturbing than an accident. Inside the home are three victims: Dianne Watts, her daughter Jessica Watts, and Jessica’s friend, Chelsie Smith, who was staying over for a sleepover.
As investigators begin sorting through what happened, it becomes clear the fire was deliberately set—and that the answers aren’t going to come easily in a small town where everyone knows everyone. The case pulls back the curtain on close relationships, quiet tensions, and the kind of rumors that spread fast when fear moves in.

🎨 About Our Set:The set where Darklivity is filmed is a recreation of Kimbyr's bedroom from the 90s when her grandmother Fran introduced her to true crime for the first time while watching the OJ Simpson trial. Sadly Fran passed away in February 2023; the set is a tribute to her and a "thank you" for the curiosity she instilled in Kimbyr as a child. Thanks for being here. We hope you stay.
