When Joseph arrives in Egypt, Genesis 39 tells us he is sold as a slave to a man named Potiphar who is the Chief of the Royal Police. In six short verses, we see four ways that God cares about Joseph. God gives Joseph protection, His presence, prosperity, and a promotion in the house of Potiphar.

In Genesis 37, we see that Joseph experiences the favoritism of his father, the hatred of his brothers, and the providential care of God.

As we start our journey through the life of Joseph, we see early on that he grew in a wildly dysfunctional family. Yet, God was raising him up to help save the lives of millions of people.

Through all of the ups and downs in David's life, he clings to the promises of God. In the end, God comes through on His promises, like He always does. We hope this comes as a great encouragement to you as you turn into the new year.
