After getting a 100% response to an Instagram story about how you don't understand why you can't do what you want to do in your marriage, I decided it was time to tackle the topic.
What are some of the things you do instead of following through on what you want to do?
Do any of these resonate?
🎯 Wait for them to show up in a way that makes you feel loved
🎯Nothing because fear of their reaction has you stopped in your tracks
🎯You don't want to "give in", it feels like being weak
🎯You push them away and act all bizzzy
🎯Complain and blame
🎯Concede because, after all, maybe you are the root of the problem
What's your flavor?
Doing something different than what you've been doing can feel awkward and uncomfortable, just like getting up in the morning to do that workout that you haven't done since pre-pandemic. "What's the use? It's really not THAT bad, I promise; I'll eat better today to make up for it."
It's the same with your relationship with your spouse. Making changes means being deliberate and taking baby steps.
You know what works even better? Getting yourself an accountability partner.
An accountability partner that doesn't judge you, has your back, and has the best insight to keep you moving forward. (oh, by the way, I know a really good marriage accountability partner ;-))
This week on the podcast, I share 3 reasons why you might not be doing what you want to be doing in your marriage and 1 big solution for making forward progress.
