Feeling addicted to a narcissist is very normal, and I think it can be helpful to treat recovering from a narcissistic relationship like recovering from any other type of addiction. It can be difficult to move forward if you've made this person your whole world--and they've done nothing but destroy it, but it is possible.

Narcissistic parents can be highly manipulative and incredibly destructive--oftentimes manipulating their own children and turning them against the other parent and against the other parent's family. When this happens to an extreme degree, it is referred to as "Parental Alienation Syndrome." This episode talks about some strategies to help prevent your child from being manipulated before any potential manipulation starts.
